This is the view from the window of our hotel, The Metropole. Buffet breakfast each morning from 6-10 am that includes everything from Eggs Benedict to Dim Sum.  We like to sit outside overlooking the pool with our iPads and the New York Times.  The grass hut building on the farside fills with young professionals in the evening.  Nice place to drink. Expensive dinner last night! We're on our own today and will wander in search of photographs and adventure. A marketplace. Street scenes. It's actually a bit cool. Tomorrow we leave early- a 4-hour drive to Ha Long Bay where we'll spend the night on a small cruise ship that explores this beautiful body of water in the Gulf of Tonkin.
